  • Travis Hafner - should be be batted 3 or 4?

Cleveland has named him its #4 hitter, so it looks like he will be batting cleanup

but wouldn't he be more productive batting the #3 spot instead? RBI and Runs wise? he'd get more at-bats, and because he has a .400 OBP I assume he would score alot more runs. and i'm sure he'd get more RBIs too.

I have him on my fantasy team so I'm following up on him and I was pondering this.

I see where you are coming from, but I don't really see another "true" cleanup hitter in the Tribe lineup. JP did pretty well in the three hole last year, I'm sure Wedgey probably will take the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" approach. I would think they'll go into the opener with something like this:

    Sizemore
    Michaels
    Peralta
    Pronk
    Victor
    Perez
    Boone
    Belliard
    Blake

I haven't seen the Sox Opening Day starter, but if they throw a righty, you'll obviously see Broussard, and I would imagine Boone and Belliard would be moved up one slot, with Big Ben batting eighth. That would be my guess.
