I like Brandon Inge, but...
I like Brandon Inge, but his major league days may be numbered. If he doesn't get his average back up to .260 or so, then it's very unlikely that anybody will find a place for him in their lineup. Long gone are the days when defensive standouts would have a place in the lineup in spite of their .230 averages. I would love to keep him in the dugout as a backup/utility replacement, but his high salary doesn't justify that. Our best bet is that he get his average back up, and that a contender has a 3rd basemen who's season ends due to injury. Only then will he have trade value.
