Gotta hand it to Kansas City, coming to play, and not being in awe of the Tigers...They are sticking it to us...ouch...Not only do I hate starting out zero for two, (0-2) I hate losing to teams like KC...

They looked flat today...but hopefully, this will just be a blip on the radar, before they get themselves right..SURE hate this club to be like
    2006's TRIBE...eek !

Just face the facts. Bobby Higginson, Shane Halter and Mike Maroth aren't walking through that door to save you this year.

I find those facts deeply comforting.

Cut him some slack, gentlemen, it's so rare that Royals fans get to talk triumphant smack.

Indeed. Shtawbs's post is pretty funny, actually. At least, that's how I took it. Good-natured humor from a fan of a team whose fans deserve better than what's happened since George Brett was playing.

I really rooted for the Royals back then, what a team they had in the late seventies through the mid-eighties. Still have an old KC cap I got years ago and wore to death. I'll always welcome Royals fans here, even if I'm as disappointed as skeletor over how the regular season has started.

Is it just me, or do we always face KC sometime in the first week of the season? I would say every opening day, but I know that isn't true.

Funny things happen over the course of 162 games. And you never look good when the opposing pitchers are really dealing. The Tigers will be fine.

just let the hitter warm up

if we start 0-3 its because of lack of hitting and from the lineup we must assume that will pick up.

but kudos to the Royals...its good to see them relevant again!

Well, now that we have the tough part of the schedule out of the way, hopefully we can beat up on some laundry.

FYI kids if you wash your White Sox with your Red Sox you will get Pink Sox.

It's painfully obvious that this team misses sparkplug Granderson at the top of the order, as well as his lefthanded bat against tough righthanders. "Manufacturing" runs is not this team's forte, and won't be all season.

There are 2 teams-Royals and Nats-who won't contend, but will be a thorn in contender's side's if they aren't taken seriously.
