Lack of scoring
Held to fewer than 3 runs in six games. What's going wrong here? Everyone thought this was another Murderer's Row lineup before the season started, and that scoring would not be a problem.

Pitching and defense win ballgames-not hitting. Hitters are more likely to slump than pitchers, so if you try to win with hitting, that puts you in a bd position. The Yanks tried to do that, and as a resualt, they've lost their last 4 playoff series.Trusted traders list-

Yet they still made it. Pitching and defense are crucial, sure. But it takes offense to score runs, which is how ball games are won. The Tigers, despite their lineup, are not hitting. Until that is remedied, they're going to be in trouble.Originally posted by riredsox View Post
