My issue with all of this is Leyland!
He has and keeps on moving people all over. Play 3 games and them move them somewhere else, play 4 games then sit 5, then play that guy here, then play another guy there, then move the first guy to another spot. The players are just not gelling together.
The change in the line-up? well I dont know about that yet but at yesterdays game in the 4th inning, we had 1 hit with 1 run scored and had left 7 guys on base. Whats with that? Bostons pitching that night was obviously not first rate. He had 57 strikes and in the low 30's for balls so our bats were working him but the runs were coming across the plate.

Anyway, thats my take.. Leyland has a lot of egos there to deal with and I dont think he's handling them well.

Bring Inge back to 3rd! Period. Then leave the infield set then. I do like Cabrera at first.

I do believe that the problem with Inge is - he does the job of what any other team has 2 utility players for. And so now we dont have another utility player to put in various spots. I know Santiago does move a little around but lately it seems he plays only when Inge starts.

The offensive dropoff from Guillen to Inge is greater than the two or three plays the 3B would make per game. So move Guillen to DH and drop Sheffield? I wouldn't dump as dangerous a hitter as that to accomodate two or three plays a game. Yes, the lineup jockeying is frustrating, but that's April/May baseball. A fully healthy lineup will bring stability.

2 out of 3 to win ball games

"Pitching, hitting or defense. You have to do 2 out of 3 of those really well to win ball games"

I am not sure who said it, but I think it was Roger Craig? So far it seems on the good days the Tigers only do one of those things really well, hitting. On the bad days they do none of those things well.

Now, I am not sure what the solution is, but I see a few people already calling to put Inge in as everyday 3B. I am not sure myself, but I thought I would post those thoughts for y'all* to consider.

*Why's my spell check say y'all is wrong? Must be the north east biased?
