After still another shoddy hitting performance--against the BoSox , perhaps it might be a good time to promote Leon from AAA Toledo..to look over the hitters and offer his help..he's due to get a gig in the show...long overdue.

he couldn't be any more lame-ola, than our current Hitting coach.

wonder if there's any truth to a rumour, 'bout Leyland retiring, or getting the ziggy, by the all star break, if the team continues to be in an funk..

Are the rumors coming from anywhere of substance, or are they just the same ordinary rumblings? Leyland has his detractos from cities past, and if that's where they're coming from (it is more than ted p here.) I wouldn't put anything to them.

This is where Leyland has always wanted to manage, he spent years in the Tiger organization before finally getting a job in MLB and, unlike past stops, he has been given stuff to work with, the owners are not cutting things out from under him by selling everyone off like they had in past stops. I wouldn't put too much truth to any rumor because this is an entirely different situation than what he had in the past. Just trying to look at things realistically.

Durham has earned his shot. But the Tigers are a veteran team for the most part, and veterans should be given a chance to work their ways through things. I wouldn't swing any axes yet. If things don't get better by July, though . . .
