    Boyd Gail Harris, Jr. Boyd Gail Harris, Jr. age 81 passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at his home in Gainesville, VA. Mr. Harris was born on October 15, 1931 in Abingdon, Virginia to the late Boyd G. Harris, Sr. and Mary Lorraine (Miller) Harris.

    He worked for Nationwide Insurance for 34 years retiring as a Regional Sales Manager; before his Insurance career Gail was a Major League Baseball Player who played for the New York Giants and the Detroit Tigers.

    GINSBERG MYRON N. "JOE" of Lake Suzy, FL, age 86, died Friday, November 2, 2012 at Sunrise Retirement Living in West Bloomfield.

    Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Pastor Glen Pettigrove officiating.

    Burial in Montrose Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 3-7 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Contribution may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or The Miracle League of Michigan.

    Myron was born on October 11, 1926 in Manhattan, N.Y. and raised by the late Joseph and Rose Ginsberg. He married Donna Beatley, she preceded him in death in 2006. Joe was a Major League Baseball Player.

    Reading this thread, I did not know that Boyd was Gail Harris's first name. I believe Gail Harris was, if not the first, one of the first Tiger baseball cards I got as a kid. Because of that card, he was an early favorite of mine. Honor and respect to both players and their families.
