  • Need some help

I live in Georgia and I am heading down to spring training next week. I'll be attending The Astros and Braves game while there. I already have tickets, but does anyone know about what time the stadium opens? Is there a good spot to catch balls during BP in the outfield or not? Are there any good spots to meet players before or after the game?

I know that at the Braves field in Florida there is a field outside the fence where you can stand during BP. I was looking for something similar.

    Thanks in advance.
I collect any and all Braves cards and memorabilia. I also collect baseballs and Pre-1060's Topps cards.

I'll try my best. I play on taking my laptop with me on the trip and if I have internet access will try to give a review of the day. Not only of the park, but also of the teams and my outlooks. Thanks for the response.

So here is the scoop on the stadium. I got there at about 4:30 for a 7:05 start. There is nowhere to stand to catch balls during batting practice. The only thing you can do is stand near either foul pole and hope to get autos or someone pulls a ball foul. The areas are rather large on either side. Down either of the lines, the clubhouses are located outside the field. The players must enter and exit the field from the fence near the foul poles. I was able to get a few autographs and some very good pictures because of this. I stood down the 1st baseline for most of practice and warm ups and watched the pitcher warm up from almost arms length. I sat in the 3rd row behind home plate during the game. The stadium is a very nice place to watch a game.

If you want to know anything just ask and I'll try to help you out as much as possible. I'll upload a few pictures if anyone wants.

Great post! I'd love to see the pics, if you don't mind.
