  • Callaspo

I was wondering if Callaspo would get a starting job in Kansas this season. If not, it would be an absolute shame...

This is a very valuable young 2b-man. He will hit over .300 and have an OBP near .400. Thats my bet. German and Gruzielanek are much worse.

I know he had personal issues, but he showed in spring training, that he wanted the job. And man! He deserves it!

    Don't u think!
I know you're watching, Si. Bu.

Now now, JSF, remember the mantra.

Repeat after me: SPRING TRAINING STATS MEAN NOTHING!

That said, I'm rooting for Callaspo too. About time for the Royals to get some real young talent in their middle infield.

Callaspo is 25 and is getting a little old to be considered a serious prospect. The Royals brought him in to take Grudz place in 2009. Callaspo's career .532 OPS isn't about to takeout Grudz and his career .726. The dream of someone offering them something for Grudz so they could clear the way for Callaspo.

The Royals would like to hang on to the defensively challenged German and his career .373 OBP.

Not very reasonable a comparison between Callaspo's mlb career .532 OPS in only 203 PA regarding Grudz career .726. in 7124 PA.
Callaspo is heading to be the infield utility this year and German the leadoff man and 2B titular.
You have to suffer a revolution to know what are you talking about.
