  • Happy belated birthday George Brett!

Did you know that May 15 was/is George Brett's 55th birthday? Well, if you didn't, wish him a happy birthday or a belated happy birthday. It was only 28 years ago he got his batting average to .400, and nearly 25 years ago when "that game" was played.

    Happy (belated) birthday #5!

Brett was one of the best hitters in the game Only Tony Gwynn has come closer to .400 since Teddy Ballgame did it than Brett's .390.
You were born a day late though George.

Welcome back ARod. Hope you are a Yankee forever.
    Phil Rizzuto-a Yankee forever.

Wish somebody had given George the Royals as a present, I think he would make a better owner.

my grandpa who grew up playing ball with Zack Wheat surprised me saying out of all the generations of ball players he's seen, George Brett was his all-time favorite. he's the last of the loyal pros. Mr Royal! i loved him myself though i grew up in Philly with Schmidty at 3B.
