How many games would this team win against 2016 competition if all of these Angels players were together in their Angels prime?

The way I see it is the starting pitching would be the best is baseball as would the bullpen. The hitting would be at or near the best with easily the strongest bench. All that said 110 wins would be possible.

Surprised to not see Vlad Guerrero in RF with (or instead of Tim Salmon) given what he did in his six years with the Halos. I think an argument could also be made for Lance Parrish over Napoli behind the plate...especially if comparing them past just their time in an Angels uni, but also what they did with other teams.

But I've always been a Nap fan ever since we watched him play in A ball for a couple seasons in Rancho. Scioscia really hurt him IMO when he insisted on platooning Mike with Jeff Mathis for what like the longest waste of time experiment...before letting Mike get away to TX, and letting the team continue to struggle with the misadventures of Mathis.

I looked at Angels career only. Parrish wouldn't be far behind Napoli. The trade of Napoli to Toronto for Wells was the worst in Angels history IMO. Erstad over Guerrero for the last OF spot was a tough one. Tremendous MVP caliber 2000 season and fantastic all around player. Not as good as Vlad but did play a key role in our 2002 World series title!

Andrelton Simmons hasn't been with the Angels long enough, but recently was ranked as one of the ten best shortstops playing today. He gets in because of his fielding. He may very well be the best I've ever seen and is considered by many as the finest fielding shortstop in the game. He's been robbed twice for the Gold Glove IMHO. Anyway Bill Ripkin, Cal's brother who works for MLB Now, said a few days ago that he wasn't impressed with his fielding. Wow!

Wow indeed. Simmons is the best defensive short stop in the game -yes Billy, he is better your brother at this point in time comparing both players six years into their careers. As for Billy, he doesn't hold a candle to Simmons offensively or defensively.
