      It's official. Hudson has signed a 1 year, $5 million contract. I don't know anything about performance incentives, but signing a Gold Glove 2B that was also an All Star last year despite fading down the stretch is exactly what this team needed. I'm predicting that this is the best offseason signing since Luis Castillo.

        That's a great pickup for the Twins. I was stunned that Hudson was available this late in the offseason (again). The only thing I'd heard about O-Dog recently was that he might end up with Washington, so I'm glad he gets to play for a team that should be in the playoff hunt.

            Twins sign Jacque Jones

            Jacque Jones helped lead the Twins to three AL Central Division titles from 2002 to 2004 before leaving as a free agent.

            Now he's back. Sort of.

            The Twins on Tuesday signed the outfielder to a minor-league contract with an invitation to spring training.

                Twins sign Charlton Jimerson

                The Minnesota Twins have signed 30-year-old Charlton Jimerson for Rochester. He is expected to be the opening day center fielder for the Red Wings.

                Jimerson, 30, was the MVP of the 2001 College Baseball World Series for the champion Miami Hurricanes.

                  Twins sign Blackburn to 4-year extension

                  MINNEAPOLIS -- Starting pitcher Nick Blackburn and the Minnesota Twins agree on a four-year, $14 million contract.

                  The starting pitcher signed the extension on Sunday, and the deal includes an $8 million club option for the 2014 season.

                    Twins sign Hennessey

                    RHP Brad Hennessey, who missed 2009 due to injury, was signed to a Minor League deal yesterday by Minnesota. Hennessey had his best year in 2007 when he was 4-5 with 19 saves and a 3.42 ERA for the San Francisco Giants.
