  • All-time Minnesota Twins team

Just a little note I should add before beginning, you guys can jump in and put down your rosters and lineups on who would make the all-time team. No honest pressure or anything, I'd just like to hear some opinions.

What is your all-time Minnesota Twins team?

1B: Kent Hrbek (3B) (number retired, and decent hitter)
    2B: Rod Carew
3B: Harmon Killebrew (1B/OF) (number retired, decent hitter)
    SS: Steve Braun
    C: Earl Battey
LF: Torii Hunter (OF) (Not a career as long as others but it's his defense that puts him in)
CF: Kirby Puckett (OF) (This guy came clutch during 1991 WS, and did decent hitting)
    RF: Tony Oliva (OF)
    Util: Shane Mack (OF)
    Jacque Jones (OF)
    Doug Mientkiewicz (1B)
    Larry Hisle (OF)
    Chuck Knoblauch (2B/SS/LF)

    SP: Jim Kaat
    Bert Blyleven
    Dave Boswell
    Jim Perry
    Tom Johnson

    RP/CP: Dave Goltz
    Dick Woodson
    Frank Viola

    Manager: Tom Kelly

I have to agree with Chisox team. I might add Dave Campbell as RP. I don't see how Steve Braun can make an all-time Twins team.
In the 1920's, Harry Heilmann led the AL with a .364 average. In addition, he averaged 220 hits, 45 doubles, 12 triples, 16 homers, 110 runs, and 130 RBI.

Attention:There is only 1 week left for you to fill out your entries for the all-time Twins team, so get those entries in soon.

After the week has passed, we will discuss who makes the 25 man roster out of the ones who are chosen.

                ------------------
So it's Campbell versus Goltz for the last bullpen spot. I just need a majority to choose 1 of these guys to complete the all time Minnesota Twins team. Plus, which 2 outfielders out of the 3 with 2 votes take the field? Discuss.

                  Allison

I would say the OF should be Allison, Puckett, Olivia.

Can a mod who is knowledgabke about Twins history add a poll to this thread?

I want the results for the All-Time position by position battle. I have a thread about it in the history forum if you're interested.
