  • Chin Hui Tsao

Hey i was wonderin what you guyz thought about aquiring a pitching prospect in chin hui tsao. He is a power pitcher and has hit triple digits numerous times as a closer for the rockies. He also has a nasty slider with a solid change up and also a good curveball. Problem has always been staying healthy for him and he might not be ready for the start of the season because of his recent surgery. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2010679
this articles shows wut kind of stuff he has. but right now since his value is low i think we could acquire him without giving up much what do you guyz feel about acquiring him. I think the reason he doesn't use his curveball is because that pitch does not break well in denver so his performance could improve a lot coming here and use him as long man and if someone goes down and he recovers we could let him pitch as starter again and plus i am assuming he is good friends with him since they both pitched for chinese tapei in olympics

Normally I am not against adding a good arm. But in this case I think he should stay with the Rockies. Give them a chance to rebuild. They will need him harder than we do.

its called stockpiling talent and plus the rockies see him as expendable now with the emergence of Brian Fuentes and the aquisation of Jose Mesa they now have a strong back of the end bullpen and see jeff francis and a few other prospects take the rotation. So we could get him cheap and if he comes over here and suceeds then people will come phoning us asking if they could have either wang cano or tsao instead of just wang and cano

Stockpiling talent? So we get that player and we put him somewhere in our farm system, where he can spend the rest of his career. Unless he's not traded away... IMO this is not stockpiling talent, but a waste of talent.

And I want my team to be a champion because it is the best team with the best players. Not because they pull all the talented players away from other clubs and put them away in a closet, so the other teams can not compete...
