Isn't it too early to tell? We won't have Joba in the rotation at first, since he'll start in the pen and slowly get weaned to the rotation.
Hughes needs to show what he can do after having recovered from some hamstring injury.
Kennedy has much to prove, though he's been touted. Why don't we just wait until July to ask this question? Until then, my initial pick is Phil. Please read Baseball Fever Policy and Forum FAQ before posting. 2007-11 CBA

I think Joba makes the immediate impact...but in the long run I see Hughes being the Big Dog.
I dunno why, but I see arm troubles for Joba in the not too distant future.
This rubber banding back and forth from pen to rotation isn't doing much to help, if you ask me.
If it's upto me, I start him in the Rotation and limit him to about 23-25 Starts.
Let him finish in the pen. It's easier to go from the Rotation to the Pen then vice versa."After my fourth season I asked for $43,000 and General Manager Ed Barrow told me, 'Young man, do you realize Lou Gehrig, a 16-year-man, is playing for only $44,000?' I said, Mr. Barrow, there is only one answer to that - Mr. Gehrig is terribly underpaid."- Yankees outfielder Joe DiMaggio

Very hard to say, of course. Hughes could be better, but right now I'd give the edge to Joba, simply because Joba has proven he can get Major League hitters out and Hughes has not as much. How often does a young pitcher get big hype until he pitches in the Bigs?--------------------

Im gonna go with Hughes in the long run as well. But for this year, I think Joba is going to do a lot better.

I vote Kennedy but I think Hughes is the most experienced and will do the greatest in 2008. Last year, Kennedy had a couple of really good starts and I am really looking forward to seeing what he can do!Check out my Yankee blog http://questfor27.blogspot.com/
