    What would you guys think about Joba closing when Rivera retires (Or if he got hurt or something)?

      I think it would be good because he can exert himself for one inning as opposed to restraining himself. With stuff as good as his...wow

        I used to agree with this thought. And I think as long as our bullpen stinks like it did last year, he will be the best option.

        But lately the guys that has pitched out of the bullpen, are showing promise. And in that case I think that Joba must return to a starter spot.

          No. Joba Chamberlain greatest value will come as a starter. If Chamberlain projections as a starter are on target, then you'll get the max value of Chamberlain as a starter, not a closer. If the Yankees need a closer when Rivera retires or if he broken down, then they'll sign a free agent or look at another option in the bullpen or farm.
