They claimed he'd be a giant of a manager,
but so far he's just a little elf,
The last thing the Steinbrenners thought when they hired Girardi was,
that under him the Yanks would open the season at twelve and twelve.

To be honest, I`ve been pretty happy with him so far. The losses haven't really been his fault. Yes, the bullpen has been stretched out but Girardi has spread the work around fairly well. The only mistake I though he made was not walking Manny.

The guy was fed a bill of goods by Yankee brass about the potential "World Championship Caliber" team he would be getting.....Instead, we see a "same ol, same ol" bunch, with the same problems which has kept them out of a World Series for the previous 7 years. Some years Yanks have had SP problems, other years the pen.An unbalanced lineup that leaves runners in scoring position so often you want to weep. A defense that never gets better with a bench that leaves a great deal to be desired....Never ending injuries....No manager could do any better under the circumstances....It is not up to the field mgr. to solve most of these problems, but the GENERAL MANAGER, the OWNERS & other execs.

It's the first month, you guys are acting like it's October. The Yankees haven't been a .500 team at the end of April in a few years. It seems like they're always 11-19 starting out. They're 13-13, and April still isn't over. There are a few bumps in the road so far, but the losses hasn't been to bad managing but rather to bad pitching and sluggish hitting. And the games we have lost for the most part haven't been by much. We'll see if we're a below .500 team after the all-star break then we have problems. I think it's too early to judge a team only after 26 games. The Yankees also have gotten a bad break with the scheduling.
