Why is the sky blue? Why do dogs bark?

I agree with this post... no need to worry/ask about Cano... he's proved himself before.

I don't have doubts that Cano will turn it around. I'm merely asking what's taking him to long to get in gear.

He had a GREAT spring.....but he's off to his worst start.
I'm wondering if he's hurt, pressing, or could the new contract had added pressure which could now be affecting him.

    Robi Cano

Is anyone else wondering what's up with Cano?
I have watched last few games and he seems to be pulling more than usual.
He has hit some balls hard, but he doesn't seem to be getting the lift that usually allows him to drive the ball into the gaps. I hope he can get out of this funk soon, otherwise he might start hearing the boos.

I keep hearing people say he's a slow starter...but I don't think that's entirely true. He's never been this bad before. Granted it is a fairly small sample size.

    2005:
    Mar/Apr: .253 AVG / .273 OBP
    1st Half: .288 AVG / .313 OBP

    2006:
    Mar/Apr: .316 AVG / .341 OBP
    1st Half: .325 AVG / .341 OBP

    2007:
    Mar/Apr: .270 AVG / .320 OBP
    May: .260 AVG / .278 OBP
    1st Half: .274 AVG / .314 OBP
    ---

I did find that as the weather heats up so does Cano.

    June: .324 AVG .364 OBP 112 OPS+
    July: .351 AVG .376 OBP 126 OPS+
    Sept/Oct: .365 AVG .385 OBP 139 OPS+

    ----

Also, that Cano is almost a .30 pts better hitter outside of Yankee Stadium for his career.

    Home: 803 ABs
    .290 AVG .322 OBP .456 SLG .788 OPS 91 OPS+ 24 HR 47 Doubles

    Away: 916 ABs
    .318 AVG .353 OBP .489 SLG .842 OPS 107 OPS+ 25 HR 72 Doubles
