Isn't it time the Yanks got rid of this guy? It was a terrible, terrible signing, and now he's stinking up the joint this spring. On the bright side, at least we know that he's pitching his way out of the rotation for sure and that Chacon and Wang's spots should be assured. This spring, his ERA is 12.45 in 7.1 IP. He's given up a riduculously abysmal 11 ER and 18 hits in those 7 innings. Wright has to go. He's taking up time that could be better spent getting looks on some of the younger guys, and he will surely take up a roster spot that a younger, say Matt DeSalvo, or Matt Childers, or Darrell Rasner, would have earned in spring (especially DeSalvo, who I'm not rooting for as a darkhorse to make the team as a long-reliever/spot-starter).

Yes. Jaret Wright is the poster child for why you don't award injury plagued, inconsistent players with large contracts after one good season.
Hopefully Torre gets it from day one that Wright doesn't belong on the team, let alone in the rotation.Comment

Wright's abysmal spring coupled with his contract and track record of injuries and inconsistency, should make him close to untradeable at this point. So I'm hoping they just send him to the minors, but I doubt it.Comment
