If you want Yankees/Red Sox tickets, and good seats at that, you'll likely have to pay through the nose. I've actually had some luck in recent seasons buying tickets for Yankees/Sox from ticketmaster on the day of the game. Even if they say it's sold out, ticketmaster usually makes a small number of seats available on the morning of the game, but it's doubtful that they will be good seats.
