  • David Robertson sucks!!

HOW DARE THIS SCHMUCK TRIES TO FILL MARINAO'S SHOES!

i knew Soriano needed to be the closer, not Robertson. He's a setup guy and that's it!

Imagine if BBF and you were here back in 1997 when some kid named Rivera who was the setup guy took over as the closer and blew 3 out of his first 6 saves. You would be screaming that the Yankees made a mistake in letting Wetteland go......

I picked him up in my fantasy league and he's gotten me some k's but his whip and era have killed me for the week. I'm guessing Soriano will be the new closer.

From the sounds of it, Girardi is sticking with DRob as the closer( and appropriately so). The Yankees would be in chaos right now if knee-jerk reactions ruled how the team operates. If they did, would Rivera been our closer at all after he blew 3 out of his first 6 saves back in 1997?

One blown save doesn't mean Robertson isn't cut out for the 9th inning.

That sounds good to me because I like him but he had a shaky outing in his first outing too and I know the Yankees werent positive on who thier closer is so I figured Soriano might get the call next time.

I do like this Robertson and hopefully the Yankees have him talking to a shrink to get a closer type mentality. He deff has the assets to be a good closer. I just dont know if he has the head for it.

I knew some Yankee fans heads would explode but after blowing his first save....Jesus Christ!

Where do you think his Houdini reputation comes from? He either inherits jams or he puts himself into one and gets out of them most of the time. He seems to thrive when the bases are loaded with none or one out.

Anyway, we probably won't see Robertson tomorrow even if there is a save situation as Girardi doesn't like to use pitchers 3 days in a row.

After one blown save you'd be willing to make a move?

The guy has been money for over 2 years! Yeah, sometimes he does make it interesting but what closer doesn't? Even Rivera has had his moments when he's made it interesting or even blown the save and the game for the Yankees.

Its one Blown save? You are acting like Mo has never blown a save he blew one in game one of the season and a few in the 04 playoffs and about 7 straight when he started in 97.

I am gonna keep him because I do like him alot because of his strikeouts but I wasnt sure if Giardi was gonna keep him as a closer. If he's not a closer it doesnt make sense to keep him in fantasy baseball. Sounds like he might not pitch tomorrow and I have a co-owner so I gotta try to talk him into keeping him.

He took my whip from .080 to 1.40 and my era from 1.80 to 4.50 so yeah I gotta admit I do have concern for the guy but i am gonna keep him for now. Axford got me today too so it wasnt all Robertsons fault.

This about coming in first place and winning 2500.00 bucks. I'm making sure I have the right guys out there. Believe me I hope this guy does well but right now i'll admit i am scared having him.

and this mentality explains the Yankees from @1982 through the mid-90s
