I keep reading rumors about Chase Headley, but can't seem to understand why Cashman would want to give up anything for the guy.
Why not just try Corban or Adams there for the time being? They won't be permanent solutions, but showcased to other teams.

I also gotta admit, that I'm irked Cashman didn't get Liriano from the Twins. After I read what the WhiteSox gave up, it irked me even more! Chicago got him for the equivalent of Ramiro Pena and Adam Warren! Cashman couldn't have thrown in a A-Ball Prospect to solidify the deal?! Hell, even gave'em Eduardo Nunez!

Agree on Liriano. While we may have enough starting pitching, a guy like him is worth a flyer, especially that cheap.

I admit I would like to see Adams or CuJo get a shot at the 3b job for a bit this season. A good test to see which one should be our 2b in 2014. [Only half kidding on that].

But I like Headley. He is a good player and much better (.856 OPS) away from Petco. I could see him being our 3b of the future with A-Rod, possibly playing RF for a couple of years. It would plug a hole for this year and solve a problem in the future. I'm sure the price would not be cheap but even if somewhat costly, I would like to see it.
