    They let him go due to him having an opt out clause in his contract. Anyway, he is back with the Yankees and Laird has been DFA'd to make room for him.

      how many OFers do the yanks now have on their roster? 12?

        Personally, sick of Cashman bringing in never beens or never will be's.

        Why not give move Chavez to 1B in the meanwhile, and bring in someone to play 3B? Say Joseph?!
