    Yesterday against the Pirates, Mike Mussina pitched his 2317th career strikeout, passing Rube Waddell for 38th all time.

    And a 5 hit shutout to boot! Sounds like he pitched one heck of a game and from what the morning papers say the rest of the team looked alive too. That's 3 strong outings in a row from our starting pitchers. Anybody see it?

      Thursday against the Indians, Mike pitched his 2335th career strikeout, passing Early Wynn for 37th all time.

          Friday against the Royals, Mussina pitched his 2462nd career strikeout, passing Jim Kaat for 31st all time. That same game, he pitched his 2465th career strikeout, passing Mark Langston for 30th all time. Next up is Jack Morris with 2478. Mussina has the 6th most strikeouts of all active pitchers.

          Can we re-name this thread the "Mike Mussina Milestones Thread"?

                Last night, Wednesday, July 5, 2006, Mike Mussina became the first AL pitcher to win 10 games in 15 straight seasons.
