That's a flattering comparison, however I'm afraid we lack the punch on offense. Our ST record is looking good so far. As of yesterday, we led the Cactus League in runs scored, and also in fewest runs allowed!

you never know...if Sweeney reverts to old form...if the youngsters keep improving (Barton ,Buck,Suzuki,etc)...if Cust happens to be the real deal...if Chavez and Crosby return to their big years and Ellis remains consistent.... if Harden stays healthy and puts up a full year of the #'s he could possibly produce...we have a bunch of good arms on that pitching staff ... alot of ifs ,but I have the feeling we are going to be alot better then people expect.... I'm looking forward to the season starting, not so much about the Japan trip,but when they get back to the Coliseum.....

I'm just hoping we are not the worst in baseball. I'll still make trips to Cleveland, Toronto and Detroit for games, so hopefully the A's keep it competitive.
