  • Is Mark Ellis on his way to the ChiSox?

I read today that Chicago is most likely waiving Juan Uribe, leaving a hole in the infield. Yahoo Sports has reported that they are interested in swinging a deal for Mark Ellis... How about if we trade him back for Nick Swisher?
    WAR? Prove it!

Does Kenny Williams have any other good prospects Beane can loot from him again?

Why not? Ellis is a good player we haven't traded yet, times running out, better get rid of him soon!

The White Sox already have Orlando Cabrera, acquired in a trade for Jon Garland. They do not need Ellis.

What's Cabrera, the starting shortstop, have to do with whether the White Sox would try to acquire 2B-Ellis? They just put Richar on the DL so currently their starting 2b would be Alexei Ramirez or Ozuna if he's healthy. They need Ellis but they probably don't have anything the A's would want to get him.

Right, my bad. My guess then is that if they really want to make a deal they either shoot for Mark Grudzielanek of the Royals or one of the losers in the shuffle for second base in Colorado.

Why don't the Chisox come after Cora?

I doubt the Royals would make a deal within their own division.

                Colorado? Marcus Giles?

Chicago's farm system is gone after they traded practically the entire farm to form the current team they're sporting. Not like they have much to offer to Oakland or the teams you mentioned.

Because, he's not that good and their current options are no better or worse than Core, a bench player, who's making 2 million dollars.
