Scott Sizemore injures knee; who's going to play 3B?

Let's hope for the best here - Scott Sizemore hurt his knee during drills the other day. We're still waiting for a prognosis but the news isn't great so far. He was projected to be our starter at 3B. If he's out for a while, who would you start? Is Grant Green ready to come up? Do we look for a free agent? Thoughts?

He killed it in A+ ball back in 2010 but his stats dropped off a fair amount in AAA. He's not ready to come up yet... He's on the right track though.

It looks like catcher Josh Donaldson is the number 1 contender at 3rd base!

Thanks for posting that Anna, I never would have thought about, or guessed Donaldson. He should work out fine until Parker is ready. Can't wait for these Spring games to start!

What about Miguel Tejada?? There was an article on ESPN today about how he wants Oakland to sign him.

Tejada might be a nice bandaid. He probably won't be an everyday player, could put up 12-15 HR's and maybe hit around .270. That wouldn't be all bad on part time duty.

You're darn skippy. It seems we go out of Spring Training with guys on the DL consistently. Personally I think it's conditioning issues - seems to be a lot of strains, etc going on.
