All that and only a half game out of a wildcard spot. Pretty awesome at this point! Big test coming up with Texas though, going to need to stay hot to beat them!

After Texas the even bigger test with 4 games against the Yankees is coming. The Yankees have always been trouble in the last years. The 9 game losing streak this year was triggered off when the A's lost 3 games to the Yanks. The A's have to break whatever spell the Yanks have had on the A's over the past years!

It may be a blessing in disguise with Coco Crisp out with an injury. After getting that fat 2 year contract he's been slumping. Now Gomes and Seth Smith will get more playing time! They've been hitting well!

The offense is humming along as shown by the 4 HR's we cracked today to finish off the sweep. Looking back, we also swept Boston before the All-Star break. More good news, Chris Carter is starting to look comfortable and both Anderson and Braden are progressing in their rehab....
