Coco Crisp redeemed himself for his costly error in game 2 that let 2 unearned runs score. He robs Prince Fielder of a 2 run homer thus preserving the A's 2-0 victory. See video:

WOW!! Those miracle A's!! Down 3 to 1 in the bottom of the 9th and they scored 3 runs to win 4 to 3 and even the series at 2 games each!
Tomorrow is the final game! If the Tigers start Verlander tomorrow, I'll be pessimistic, but who knows.

Wow I actually turned that game off. I can't believe they came back. It's nice they did it to Valerde too. I can't stand that guy.
"(Shoeless Joe Jackson's fall from grace is one of the real tragedies of baseball. I always thought he was more sinned against than sinning." -- Connie Mack

"I have the ultimate respect for Whitesox fans. They were as miserable as the Cubs and Redsox fans ever were but always had the good decency to keep it to themselves. And when they finally won the World Series, they celebrated without annoying every other fan in the country."--Jim Caple, ESPN (Jan. 12, 2011)

It's the bottom of the 6th and the Tiger ace Verlander is still shutting the A's down holding a 2-0 lead. I hope Verlander's pitch count takes him out soon. The Tiger's let him throw 129 pitches in game 1.

Congratulations for a fabulous year Oakland A's . . . I grew up near Oakland in the 70s and remember those disfunctional crews they played with back then . . .which seemed to work as does this crew in 2012. You beat out Texas for the division and came back in game 4 from a 3-1 deficit to win the game on Seth Smith and Coco Crisp's big hits in the bottom of 9th . . . Those memories I will never forget! The wall was Verlander . . . nobody could have hit him last night, way too focused!
              Some's basturds, some's ain't, thats the score.

The A's had a great season. Justin Verlander's 2 stellar games against the A's reminds me of what Orel Hershiser did with the A's in the ill fated World Series against the Dodgers.
The A's had to win game 2, which they almost did to avoid seeing Verlander again.
Now the Yankees have to face Verlander in game 3 down 2 games against the Tigers.
I expect the Tigers to win this encounter too.
