First off, put Edgar at 3rd base, and give a shout out to John Moses, Mike Moore, and Bruce Bochte.
    WAR? Prove it!

As much as I liked Cruz, I think Boone has to have already replaced him at second base. If not then he certainly, at least, deserves a spot on the bench.

Oh, wow, I just missed seeing you post that by a few seconds before me.

When you put that squad together, it's mighty impressive for an all-time lineup of a team that hasn't even been in existence for 30 years!!!

Exactly what I was thinking. Of course, it's nothing compared with what you could come up with for the Yankees, but it's an incredibly impressive squad for less than 3 decades.

I am surprised that Danny Tarabull or Ken Phelps never got an honorable mention.

Phelps probably deserves a spot somewhere, but Tartabull only really had one full season with the ballclub.

I'm not even sure about Phelps. He never had more than 100 hits with the Ms, or for that matter, any time during his career. But hey, if you want to replace Tino with Phelps on the list of reserves, go ahead.

No, I'd just probably make room for Ken on the 40 man roster instead. He did put up some good HR numbers for the club, but I just don't see replacing any of those present reserves with him.

This is true. I'd put him on the 40-man.

Perry on played for the M's two seasons with a 13-22 w/l record with a era over 4.60??

Griffey Sr. the only reason he played with the M's was to babysit Jr. Griffey Sr. played two seasons and only 51 games!?!? Come 'on

                              Mariners 30 year anniversary team

I found an old thread on google and wanted to put my 2 cents in:

Seattle Mariners 30 year anniversary team (25-man roster):

                              C -- Wilson, Valle

                              1B -- Davis, Olerud
                              2B -- Boone, Reynolds
                              SS -- A-Rod, Visquel
                              3B -- Martinez

                              LF -- Bradley
                              CF -- Griffey, Cameron
                              RF -- Ichiro, Buhner

SP -- Johnson, Moyer, Garcia, Langston, Bannister
RP -- Swift, Nelson, Rhodes, Charlton, Caudell, Sasaki

                              Manager -- Lou Piniella

Hon Men: Tino, Sexson, Bochte, Julio Cruz, Presley, MacLemore, David Bell, Beltre, Paciorek, Stan Javier, Ruppert Jones, Dave Henderson, Danny Tartabull, Willie Horton (and his one great season!), Mike Moore, Felix, Erik Hanson, Dave Fleming (and HIS one great season), Mike Schooler, Ed Vandeberg, Matt Young, Shiggy, Mike Jackson and hopefully Johjima

I chose Bannister over Moore and Hanson because he was a lefty w/heat. I chose him over Felix obviously because Felix is too young, I would expect Hernandez to easily make this team, though.

Swift had that sinker, great for the Kingdome; Schooler became an awful pitcher toward the end.

I figured that since A-Rod is now a third sacker and since the M's have a pretty mediocre history with third basemen, I would leave a backup off the team and take an 11th pitcher. If I had to choose a backup 3B, I'd pick Mac (because he was clutch and versatile), or Beltre (because he is their best fielder and has the most potential) as a true back-up and probably lop Omar (if I picked Mac), Rhodes or Cuffs.

                              But, what do I know?
