I think of Baseball starting when Football ends, and again when the Pitchers and Catchers arrive, and then again for the first Spring Training game, and starting a fourth time when the season starts, and I get excited each time.

That having been said...I mark the start of the next calendar year of baseball at P&C...but the time I start to get really excited is the first Cactus League game.
I have changed over the years -along with a slower metabolism/strange hair growth-and break it down to:
    B.S. (Before Strike ) I was a 24/7 fan.

A.S. (After Strike :grouchy ) I'm more of a 'Pitchers and Catchers' type of fan. However, listening to NY Vinnie last night I was really getting jazzed up about the team. There is just something special that is more than football or basketball. Not sure what it is. But it is.

    Baseball is in the air!!!

Baseball season has begun for me today. I turned on the radio and what did I hear? Niehaus, the Mariners, and even the Padres I was so estatic!!! I have been waiting a long time for this moment to come, spent countless hours counting down until this time.

Anways, I should probably make some actual point to this, so I'll try. At what point does the season start for you Mariner's fans? Is it Pitchers and Catchers reporting, when everyone is there, the first spring training game? The first game of the season? Or does your season go year round (don't get me started - 300+ days of baseball a year!!! ).
