    bedards a perfectionest

Bedard not only will be a ginat addition to the mariners roster but i feel and i may be going out on a limb when i say this but he provides a certain aspect of veteran leadership. he has worked with some of the best pitching coaches and has come a long way. his tough spring training may have been due to new surroundings and whatever else. as an oriole fan its frustrating being part of a losing organization and i could see how it took its toll on bedard hopefully for him things will change. o and thanx for adam jones!

I would agree with your expoundings (love that word). Anyway, I'll start worrying when he is replaced in the first inning on opening day, but I doubt that will happen. A player like Bedard doesn't become a bad player just like that.

Agreed, usually vets are working on mechanics, grips, pitches, finding slots, getting things down to be 2nd nature to avoid overstressing the arm.
