    I hope they keep him as the starting 3B, but I can also understand their decision to send him to Durham for 4-6 weeks too, delaying his free agency clock until 2009. As long as he doesn't have Delmon Young attitude, and accepts the decision and tears it up at AAA, he should have a long productive career here.

      Longoria seems to have his head on straight, unlike Young.He seems to understand the situation, without loseing his head. I too would like to see him start the season, but we will see him at the Trop no later then June 1.
      Lets get Eddie Basinski elected to the Polish Sports Hall of Fame.

        There is only one decision here and that is to send him down. Bring him back June 1 and enjoy the extra year you have with him.
