For my website, www.rotoprofessor.com, I recently had the opportunity to pst 5 questions to Rays beat writer Marc Lancaster. He had some really interesting things to say regarding their upcoming season. Here's a quick excerpt:
"The primary reason is Kazmir isn’t eligible for free agency until after the 2010 season. That’s a long ways away, and if the Rays make the leap forward they expect to the next couple of seasons, two factors will come into play. One, Kazmir might be inclined to join James Shields and Carlos Pena and stick around to be a part of what would be Tampa Bay’s first legitimate contender. "
