  • I Knew the Rays Were Good this Year

I predicted it at Red Sox 24/7 before the season started. They all thought I was crazy. Well, I left that place anyway, and now if you're the team to upset us, I don't mind- as long as it's not the Yankees. I'm all for supporting underdog teams- it's good for baseball. I'm a Sox fan, but if the Rays prevail, good for you guys. You deserve it finally. I'm all for the game, not just my own team.

Its because they took away the "DEVIL".

The Sox will be hard to catch, imo, but the Rays are definitely in the hunt for the wildcard. If the hitting comes around, tho, look out AL east...

This year was supposed to be the start of respectability, not competing for division crowns or wildcards. So far all this is beyond my wildest dreams. The farm system is also stocked well, so this should not be a one year wonder. The Yankees are getting hot now lately too, so this should be a competitive division all season.

LOL very funny. That's what jokers like Pat Robertson and fanatics of that ilk are bound to say, I'm sure.

I knew right away this year that Tampa would be in the AL East race along with the Sox, Jays, and Yanks. So far they've proven my beliefs, and I can honestly say I'm happy an underdog team is doing it.

Can we think it? A Rays vs Marlins World Series?!!!

In other news...the world ended today...
Strikeouts are boring! Besides that, they're fascist. Throw some ground balls - it's more democratic.-Crash Davis

The Red Sox proved once again how far we have to go to become a contender. They pretty much dominated all 3 games this week. This has become quite a rivalry now, though 100 years of Sox-Yankees will never be trumped by our upstart team. We might consider the Sox our main rival, but they never will. Until you beat the champs, you cannot measure yourself against them yet, unless it's to see where you need improvement.

The problem is mental, imo. The Rays press too hard up there.
