  • 5 Questions with a Rangers writer

At www.rotoprofessor.com we have resently had the opportunity to pose five questions to Evan Grant, a beat writer who follows the Texas Rangers. They are certainly a team with a lot of questions heading into the season, including the fate of their young catcher and who is going to close. Here's an example of what he had to say:

"Not sure this will be his first full season in the big leagues. Rangers aren’t opposed to sending him to Oklahoma if he does not win starting catcher’s job. If club thinks he is better served by playing every day at Triple-A, they will start the year with Gerald Laird behind the plate and possibly take Adam Melhuse as backup."

Evan had that Satly transaction nailed. Hated to see him go down to AAA, but I have a feeling we'll see him back in Arlington pretty soon.
