  • It has to hurt...

Looks like the Rangers board here gets about as much action as the Cards board, which is to say not much.

That said, I really do like your team. Well rounded, some great players, a charismatic manager, and a fan base that showed off well during the postseason. I'm thrilled with my Cards win in an amazing series of course, but I hope Spring comes quickly for you. Pitchers and Catchers report in just over 100 days or so.

After 1985 and 1987, Cards fans just hung in there the best they could. One pitch away twice in G6 and now this.... Wow.

"Hang in there." A tip of the cap to you.

At least Cards fans in '85 and '87 had '82 to look back on. Ranger fans don't have anything. I was at both ALCS clinching games, and they had huge celebrations with fireworks and confetti. If the Rangers are fortunate enough to win another pennant, they need to tone that celebration down. They need to take the Dirk Nowitzki approach. When the Mavs won the Western Conference title this year, Dirk barely stayed on the floor. As he said later, "We already got one of those trophies, and it didn't mean anything." A third AL trophy will really be meaningless if a World Series trophy doesn't follow it.

I second Brian's sentiment. If I were to lose to any AL team, I would hope it is the Rangers.

I second that. I'm another cards fan who likes the rangers. this team is really good. also very attractive playing style (speed and power).

maybe next year again in the WS.
I now have my own non commercial blog about training for batspeed and power using my training experience in baseball and track and field.

I am a Cardinals fan that has been living in Central Texas for 5 years, and although I took a lot of grief for the way the series turned out, I still look forward to seeing what the Rangers do in '12! Great team here, and I have faith that they can and will win their first Championship soon!
