  • Jeff Weaver would fit in nicely.

If would could sign weaver for a decent price, he would be a solid starter in the rotation. He may not be the best pitcher around, but he has not been hurt in the last past 3-4 season i think. The jays have always been plagued with pitching injuries these past few years, having a proactive plan to add some depth would be smart i think.

How much do we pay Hinski? Maybe we can offload some of his salary on another team.

Yah it would be nice to have him but the problem is we don't have the money to get him. If some how he accepts an offer from us then it was ment to be.

I don't really think we need Weaver. I'm happy with Halladay, Burnett, Chacin, Lilly, Towers with Downs being an emergency. Plus, we have no dough for him and I'm not a huge Weaver fan.

I forgot about Towers, he started pitching pretty decently by the end last season....hopefully he can continue that trend into this season.

I hope so too, it's nice when you have a consistent #5 starter.

I'm pretty happy with our pitching rotation as it is. All five guys are very capable who can get or get close to 10 wins at least and have pretty descent ERA's.
