Congrats! Two well deserved trophies!
After a season of lingering gloom, the Toronto Blue Jays can take a timeout to boast: Adam Lind and Aaron Hill have been voted the best offensive players at their positions in the American League.
Lind, a designated hitter, and Hill, a second baseman, won their first Silver Slugger Awards after breakout seasons. The winners were announced Thursday evening after a vote of league managers and coaches, who are not allowed to vote for players on their own teams.
Hill adds the Silver Slugger trophy to his AL comeback player of the year award, announced last month. He also made the all-star team for the first time.
