In my opinion, Omar Vizquel can still play three infield positions well (all except first baseman) and he probably would be a more effective Utility Infielder than players 15 to 20 years his junior in 2013, if he chose not to retire. Most likely he would have reached 3,000 games played and 2,900 hits, while extending his current ALL-TIME record FOR MOST GAMES IN BASEBALL HISTORY played at Shortstop (2,709 games) if he continued to play in the majors in 2013. I'm sorry he's retiring.
