  • 2013 Blue Jays Season Thread

A new baseball season always makes me happy. It's the Blue Jays' 2013 season. Post away.

What's going to happen with RA Dickey this year? He didn't do that bad, but the guys at Baseball Tonight were talking about just how difficult it was for Arencibia to try and catch that knuckler. Will he get a special/personal C to work with, or do you all think JP will get the hang of it? Varitek never seemed to get it done with Wakefield and the Sox ended up having a couple different guys at C when Tim pitched. Have the Jays talked about this issue previously, or are they just hoping JP and RA will get on the same page?

Jays actually traded for a guy who can catch Dickey - in Thole - and then sent him to the minors. Strange. He needs a guy who can catch him or it throws off his whole game.

Jays acquired Casper Wells off waivers today. Not a bad player if used in a platoon correctly or off the bench in favorable situations.

What is the impact of losing Happ for an extended period of time?

Scary sight tonight - hope he makes a full recovery.
