Why do people think that in all time this place has been existence, the idea of a general forum has not been discussed (and presumably rejected)?

As a mod, I can attest that this topic has been discussed way more than the mods would care for, and my sense of the odds of such a board in BBF are about equal to the chances for long term survival in frozen form of a snowball thrown into a blast furnace. IOW, ain't happenin'.
