is there away to put html in a post? how? Every time I tried it didn't work

I know you would use these [/html][html] but when I put HTML code between them (with the / one at the end of course) nothing happened. Do you know how this could be done?

What type of coding were you attempting to put into a document? You can have bold, italics, underlining, left, centered and right justification, auto numbers and bullets. You can also have different fonts, font sizes, colors, as well as email addresses, links, images, quotes.

Try the symbol in the reply window that looks like this: < >

Should give you something that says [HTML][\HTML] (replace \ with /). Then put whatever text you want coded in HTML in between those, like you would do for bold, italic, etc.

yea, thats what I did, and got [/HTML][HTML] but in reverse.

So if I did that, would any HTML code work? I was trying to put in a chart / table.

Jordan, please type in the coding you'd normally use for other sites.

Do those sites use vBulletin software, as does this one?

No, there are no other sites - I just saw the html button and figured I could add html code, and steve (wilkerson_rulz-06) was telling me about how a ban was lifted on allowing html code on baseball-fever. So I figured I could post html code, a table. Ex:

but I'm guessing that i'm a little off of what I think this button does. What would be nice I think, is a little tutiorial for all the buttons that are available for use on baseball-fever to help the boneheads like me. :cap: "Baseball-Fever posting for dummies" I don't even use the spell check feature (which i'm sure you've all noticed haha) because I need to install it somehow? and where?

Here, I was thinking of posting something like this:

            blah blah a word
            more stuffblah

And I thought it would work if I posted it in the [HTML][\HTML]

(At 1st I thought this was kind of a stupid question, which is why I PMed you 1st Mattingly, then again, I didn't even think of posting it in this forum)

              HTML Code:
              text
              Testing.

That's the only HTML coding I see being allowed. Someone with more experience with this may be better able to help you, since I just wanted to know what you were seeking.

I'm actually unfamiliar with how to create tables and other things in html. I typed the "html" thing in brackets and that's what I'd gotten.

Like I said, if someone else comes along who's more familiar with how to use html coding on this vBulletin-powered software, then they may help you out moreso than myself.

If more html coding is allowed, then someone who's better at this can offer greater assistance to you.

Yea, i'm actualy not good at html either - I just looked up on once how to make a table with html for something else which worked. When I saw the html thing here, I figured it would work the same way.

html coding must be disabled, since I created (then quickly deleted) the above coding that I'd copied from an html tutorial website:

On the other discussion board (which uses vBulletin software also), the above code came out as a "Table". Here, it comes out as text only. As stated under "Posting Rules" when you're about to post:
                        HTML code is Off

o ok, I figured it was on - Steve was telling me that I guess it was changed to on, but I must have misunderstood him. Thanks for the headsup.

You're welcome. It seems that the Admins must have disabled html coding for whichever reason, and that's done throughout BBF, not just in this portion.
