Why don't we have the option to insert a table into posts except when posting a new thread. Or am I missing it?

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by table. Like a spreadsheet? A database? A coded list?
I do know we have html turned on, if that helps any. Perhaps creating the item then inserting it using a bb code will do the trick.
Or.. I could be misunderstanding you entirely. heh.Put it in the books. -
