    Are there any books out there that focus on barnstorming? I'm interested in learning more about how many major league players barnstormed, how often, how much they were making and where they were going. I'm also interested in who they were playing against; specifically if they played against African-American teams, female teams, etc...

    The Cuban Giants barnstormed for many years in the late 1800's and early 1900's. They played ML, minor league, college, and amatuer teams. Their history would make a great book.
