  • 8th Greatest 19th Century Player

Congratulations to Willie Keeler for winning our 7th Greatest 19th Century Player! He won 3 of our 8 votes (37%). He defeated Roger Connor, Bill Lange and George Davis, who each received a single vote, (12%).

The 8th round for Greatest 19th Century Player is now open. It will close after a brief period. We will no longer wait until we got 15 votes, as previously. That often took months and even a year to achieve.

As per our usual, please consider everything. Counting totals, rate stats, relative stats, peak, longevity, special skills, awards/opinions, intangibles, team support/lack of support, special circumstances, time missed for war/injuries, etc.

As the winner of Round 7, Willie Keeler is now eliminated from our further consideration. Let The Games Begin!

Might I persuade anyone to consider voting in our other 19th Century polls?

I had Deacon White last time. If you can link them so people don't want to search it would be much appreciated. Upon further consideration I will vote for Roger Connor. George Davis and then White should we get that far.
