  • Baseball America Top 100 High Schools

We are in! I think it's great that three schools within 20 minutes of each other are rated in the top 100. These guys have either been teammates or have been facing off each other in all stars, both Pony and LL and on club teams. In the top 50 there are 6 high schools that are from Southern California, and none from Northern California.

There is an interesting contrast in a couple of those schools from my area...

#4 American Heritage and #21 Flanagan are about a 10 minute drive from each other.

American Heritage is a small, private school with tuition/fees around $20,000 a year.

Flanagan was once (and may still be) the most highly populated high school in the country. (pop 5400+)

I'd love to be able to afford Heritage, but my son will probably end up at Flanagan.

At least in either case there will probably be a good baseball program.

gLove, do you have a link? I can't find a Top 100 high schools list on BA's Web site. I see their annual Preseason Top 50, but nothing about 100 schools.
