How competitive and what's the skill level of community colleges and junior colleges?

The reason I'm asking is because next week in Florida my team is playing some community colleges team (we're juniors and seniors in high school), and I'd like to know how those guys compare to a higher level NCAA type player before I play them.

Junior Colleges can be D1, D2 or D3 just like four year schools. The D1's can kick the pants off a lot of four year D1 programs. D1's get players who may not have the grades for a four year program, or want to play in a loaded four year program and are waiting for players to graduate or leave via the draft.

Coco Crisp, Barry Zito, and Andy Pettitte all went to community colleges. They're damn good, depending on which one you play.

Looking at their school websites, it seems most of them are above .500 D3 schools.

Florida community colleges will generally be more talent laden than your average run of the mill D3 junior college. They've more than likely been playing mostly schools from up north.
