  • flex or stiff bats?

i was thinking about getting either the TPX H2, the 2009 rawlings rush comp, or the 2009 stealth IMX comp, for high school play. i hit 2 spot and hit for base hits not power although i can go long sometimes. i was wondering which bat yall think is best and whish bat would suit a player like me best. and what is the difference between flex and stiff bats. i mean, i know how they work but how is the performance different ?

    Bats

Out of the 3 I would say the H2 or the Rush. Did you consider an Exogrid? A bat that flexes bends upon impact, increasing bat speed, but decreasing in power. If you can get the bat around fast enough you want a stiff handle bat. Stiff handle bat stay stiff upon impact, increasing power. Flex bats are for players who can't get the bat around as fast. If you get jammed with a flex, you will hit a soft ground ball or pop up. If you use a stiff handle you can still get the ball into the outfield. I would recommend a stiff handle. The TPX Exogrids are the best bats out there.

I agree with Hartattack that Stiff bats are better if you have fast hands. But my son likes his Stealth Comp Stiff Flex better than the EXO Grid.

        Bats

From my reply above an Exo is the best bat for me, maybe not for everyone. My brother likes my Exo but prefers his stealth comp as well.
