  • Best bat for H.S.?

I am 14 years old, 6'1'' 185, and currently use an old Stealth.
I am now approaching going into High School ball and I want to be able to be as good as I am there as I am playing recreation.
My stats for 17 games this season are as follows:
    .564 Average
    8 HR's
    and 22 RBI's
I am mostly a power hitter but I can hit for average as well.

Is there a particular bat that would help me drastically?

There is no such thing as the best bat for high school. The best bat for one hitter may be the worst bat for another. So when posters start telling you how wonferful their bat is, ignore them. You need to try bats and decide which one you are physically and mentally comfortable.

If you're playing rec ball and hitting .564 you probably need to find better competition to prepare yourself for high school. You should look for a good travel program to play against the best in your age group every weekend.

I have tried the Exo in 2 games and hit 2 off the wall
The Voodoo in 3 games and hit a homerun
So they all seem good haha

And I do play travel, just the talent around me isnt great
My travel team won the State AAA tournament but theres no real competition

          bats

Can you use a -5 in High School? I'm almost possitive you can't. Just wondering though.

This may vary from place to place, so if you tell us what state you play in, someone may be able to answer the question about bat weight with more certainty.

Also, some states are now thinking of banning non-wood bats for HS ball. Link

Most high schools in NY require no more than a -3 drop for aluminum/composite. In addition, I believe the bat must have a BESR certification label on the bat.

Also, when you say you hit one off the wall, what distances are you talking about?

Like I stated, "a good travel program."
